Patient Appreciation Days

It’s that time of year again!  Our Patient Appreciation Days are coming!  Existing patients get a free adjustment on Tuesday, September 19th with a $10 donation to the Weld Food Bank.  We like to use this time of year to bless those in need, and we count ourselves blessed to have such great patients like you!  Call soon to schedule your appointment, as times will fill up fast!

Also, anyone you refer will get a complimentary consultation and complete spinal examination (a $200 value) for the same $10 donation.  New patients must schedule for the week of September 18-23 to receive this special offer – it only happens one week a year.

But wait…there’s more!

Everyone you refer will get you an entry into a drawing for a 2 night stay at the Wildwood Inn on Fall River in beautiful Estes Park!  This is an almost $300 value and could be yours for just telling others about us!

Cinder Blocks and Healing

Cinder Blocks and Healing
Comments Off on Cinder Blocks and Healing

Question:  If you dropped a cinder block on your foot, what’s the first thing you must do to start the healing process?
Answer: Get the cinder block off your foot!
Sounds simple, but it’s true. Your foot won’t heal until the pressure is removed first.  And once the cinder block is removed don’t expect your foot to look or feel normal right away!  It’s going to take time to repair all that damage.  The same principle applies to your chiropractic care.
A subluxation acts like a cinder block on a nerve, causing damage and inflammation. Sometimes it can even result in pain.  Healing can occur only when the pressure is removed and kept off the nerve with regular chiropractic adjustments.  But that won’t necessarily bring instant relief.  Removing the pressure is simply the first step in a timely process.
So if you don’t feel great immediately after your adjustment, don’t be discouraged!  With regular care and time, damaged tissues will have a better potential to heal.  For now, be confident the healing process has at least started because the cinder block (subluxation) has been removed.

Tips for Resolution Success

According to surveys, the #1 and #2 resolutions every new year are to lose weight and exercise more. One common cause of failure is injury while exercising.  Here are a few tips to keep moving in 2017:

  1.  Start Slow –  How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.  You can’t go all out on your first try.
  2. Consult an expert – Personal trainers are the go-to people for this one.  Be sure to let them know what your goals are so they can chart a course to help you reach them.
  3. Get some nutritional advice – “Eat better” is not advice.  Find a nutritionist, either in person or online, who can help you with a plan.
  4. Get your spine and extremity joints checked by a chiropractor – restricted movement in any joint in the body will cause breakdown if you put too much stress on it.  Be sure to have a full chiropractic examination before you begin any exercise program to help you avoid injury!
