According to surveys, the #1 and #2 resolutions every new year are to lose weight and exercise more. One common cause of failure is injury while exercising. Here are a few tips to keep moving in 2017:
- Start Slow – How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. You can’t go all out on your first try.
- Consult an expert – Personal trainers are the go-to people for this one. Be sure to let them know what your goals are so they can chart a course to help you reach them.
- Get some nutritional advice – “Eat better” is not advice. Find a nutritionist, either in person or online, who can help you with a plan.
- Get your spine and extremity joints checked by a chiropractor – restricted movement in any joint in the body will cause breakdown if you put too much stress on it. Be sure to have a full chiropractic examination before you begin any exercise program to help you avoid injury!
