Are You Trying or Doing?

Try: to attempt to do or accomplish

“I’ll try harder next time.”  “I’m trying to be a better person!”  I’m trying to quit smoking.”  Many of us try, but few succeed. Why?

As a patient of mine once told me, trying is a noisy way of doing nothing.  You are either in the process of doing or you are not.  You are either a smoker or you are not.  You will do better next time or you will not.  Try is weak.  Try is half-hearted wanting.

DO!

If you truly desire to change, DO!  Get your rear end out of bed in the morning and exercise!  Is it always fun? No.  Is it easy? No.  Will you feel like crap the first few mornings? Yes.  Will you achieve your goals faster DOing than you will TRYing?  Absolutely.
