Does high cholesterol cause heart disease? The current paradigm in health care seems to be ultrafocused on this issue related to the treatment and “prevention” of heart disease. Yet, with record numbers of people taking statin medications to lower their cholesterol, we have not seen a significant drop in the number of diagnoses or deaths related to heart disease.
